KROMAV is a ship and offshore design bureau, providing engineering services to the Marine and Offshore business sector. It was established in October 1996 in downtown Rio de Janeiro.
KROMAV was founded by engineers with wide experience in Offshore and Marine engineering design. The staff has worked in major EPC contracts, for over 20 years. Offering low costs due to the rational use of man-hour and methodology in the work process, KROMAV also assures excellent technical quality. A Quality, a Environmental and a Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems have been implemented, in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements.
Design development is carried out in accordance with strict quality procedures, with the use of an electronic document and workflow control and management system.
KROMAV throughout these years took part in Marine and Offshore FEED and DED design, on major offshore facilities, including power generation plants (Diesel-Electrical, Dual System, Gas-Electrical and Steam), ventilation and air conditioning systems, structural analisys, electrical, instrumentation and automation systems and accommodation modules.
KROMAV with the expertise acquired after years of working with high technical design in the well-known shipbuilding industry, Ishibras (a branch of Ishikawajima Heavy Industries in Japan), enabled the staff to serve in national and international markets.
KROMAV makes uses of advanced computer based systems like Plant Design System PDS, Intergraph INTOOLS (instrumentation design), TRIFORMA (Architecture Designs), CAD, planning and control softwares, finite element analisys (NASTRAN), stability analisys (HECSALV), as well as its own standards developed during years of research in marine, offshore and industrial business sectors.
